Graduation Requirements

 To receive a high school diploma, students are required to complete 220 credits in specific subject areas. Each year-long course completed has a value of 10 credits (5 credits each semester). Students are able to earn a maximum of 70 credits per school year, including summer school courses completed.

  • 9th grade PE required
  • Additional PE credits may be earned in grades 10 - 12 by participation in the Lynbrook athletic programs or by completing a second PE class.

Required Electives

Students must complete 1 course in 2 of the following subject areas:

  • World Language (Spanish, Japanese, French, Chinese)
  • Fine Arts (Drama, Music, or Art)
  • Applied Academics (Foods, Business, Industrial Technology)
