LHS Library Resources Help

The LHS library catalog, also called the Destiny catalog, is online.  This means students can access it from school or home, wherever there is a network connection.

There is no log in required to search the library catalog.

However, when students log into the LHS Library Catalog/Destiny, they can do the following:

  • Track which library and textbooks are checked out to them.
  • Save searches.
  • Check out eBooks.

Students use their FUHSD Login to check out eBooks and put holds on print books from the Destiny Login Page (from the homepage, click the LHS Library Catalog link in the right-hand side bar).

If you need more help, stop by the library to speak with Mrs. Ashworth, Mr. Hanford or Mrs. Robertson

Digital Resources: Databases & eBooks

Students have access to a variety of nonfiction research materials at LHS.  We have database subscriptions for journal and news articles and reviews, and we have eBook databases, which extend our print collection.   Our digital nonfiction/reference collection is larger than our print collection.

Students are able to login to our databases from school or home.  To login from home, students must use the correct usernames and passwords, which are only available to FUHSD students through our Library Databases and eBooks Page

The Lynbrook Library Research Site is another useful tool for students.  Help can be found for all aspects of research, including help with citation tools and effective database searching.

How to get to the resources from the homepage: Click on "Academics" in the top menu bar.  The Library Homepage will get you to all resources.  The second link, Library Databases and eBooks, will get you to the digital resources.
